Hello friends! Today I’m excited to share a slimline infinity shaker card featuring the Beary Good Friends stamp set from Avery Elle. Lately, I’ve been loving shaker cards because they add such a playful, interactive element, and infinity shakers are especially fun since the sequins move freely across the entire panel without being blocked by frames. I thought it would be the perfect style to pair with these adorable critters!
Supplies Used
- Avery Elle Beary Good Friends stamp set
- Distress Inks: Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean
- Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
- #10 business size envelope clear cellophane bags (Amazon)
- Sequins mix
- Slimline card base
Card Process
I began by trimming a slimline panel and used Distress Inks to create a background. Next, I blended Mowed Lawn along the bottom for grass, Peacock Feathers across the middle, and Salty Ocean at the top for the sky. I love how smoothly these shades transition into each other!
For the images, I stamped almost every critter in the Beary Good Friends set because I just couldn’t resist their sweet faces. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, which give such vibrant, watercolor-like results, then carefully cut them out with my Brother ScanNCut. After arranging them into a playful scene, I stamped the sentiment “hello friend” directly onto the ink-blended panel.
Creating the Infinity Shaker
A few months ago, I picked up #10 business-size envelope clear cellophane bags from Amazon to store my slimline cards, and I discovered they’re also perfect for slimline infinity shakers! To make mine, I simply slid my decorated card panel inside the bag, added a small handful of sequins, then folded the excess cello around the back and taped it down securely. Once finished, I adhered the whole piece to a slimline card base.
Tip: If you’re new to infinity shakers, try not to overfill with sequins—too many can make it hard for them to move around. A small handful goes a long way!
Tip: When sealing your card panel inside the cello bag, use strong tape along the back edges and fold tightly for a snug fit. This keeps the front nice and flat.
Final Thoughts
This was such a fun card to put together, and I love how the infinity shaker really makes the scene come alive. If you haven’t tried this style before, I highly recommend giving it a go! It’s easier than it looks and so satisfying when you shake it.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope this card inspires you to create your own infinity shaker. – Mona
