Bouquet of Flowers

Altenew Blooming Bouquet Primacolor Pencils

Hello again! I decided to try something a bit different and make a card using grey card stock and colored pencils. I used the latest challenge at The Flower Challenge Blog as my inspiration.

The color challenge pretty pastels

For this card, I stamped the largest flower image from Altenew’s Blooming Bouquet stamp set with versafine ink onto some grey card stock which I cut out with a stitched rectangle die. Next, I sprinkled white embossing powder over the image and heat set it with my heat tool. I colored the flowers with my colored pencils. Then, I cut out several “hello” words with my Cricut Explore Air. I glued them together to create a dimensional sentiment and attached them to the top part of the card panel. Sometimes I like using a commercial-free font to create my word dies in the Cricut Explore because it’s more flexible in style and size.

I enjoyed making this card. I think I will try black and craft colored card stock with colored pencils for future cards!

Thanks for stopping by! – Mona

The bouquet in soft colors on the gray paper looks beautiful! The white embossing makes the bouquet pop off the background! Great design with the white sentiment too! Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge!
