Halloween Memories

My Favorite Things Fightfully Sweet

It’s hard to believe that in only two weeks summer vacation will end and my son will be back at school! I am looking forward to the fall. I love the cooler weather, the change in colors, and Halloween. My son is older now and doesn’t go trick-o-treating but I have fond memories of how excited he used to be to get all dressed up and venture out for candy! I was thinking of the fun times and that lead me to make a halloween card today.

For this card, I used MFT’s Frightfully Sweet stamp set and their latest sketch challenge for the layout.

Challenges help me think outside of the box for my card designs, and I have been using them a lot lately. For this card, I cut out a dome shape and blended three different ink colors to create the background. I added grass to the bottom of the dome to create a place to attach all my images. I stamped out and colored all my images with Copic markers and glued them onto the grass.

Next, I cut out a piece of black card stock with a dotted rectangle die. I glued it onto the front of a top folding A2 size note card. Then, I glued the dome onto the center the black cardstock and attached my sentiment.

This card was a lot of fun to make. The images in this stamp set are SO adorable! Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
