Santa Paws

Hello! Well, today officially marked the start of my son’s first day back to school. I don’t know where time has gone! I decided yesterday to get a head start on the holiday cards so I would have plenty done before they arrive!

This card was inspired by the latest AAA challenge and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

For this card, I used the My Favorite Things Happy Pawliday stamp set. I think this stamp set is so cute! There are so many adorable dog images and sentiments. This card was pretty easy to make. First, I stamped out the image of the dog wrapped in Christmas tree lights on the bottom edge of a white card panel cut to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Then, I stamped the sentiment to the right. I wanted the string of lights to continue along the bottom edge of the card and around the sentiment, so I drew them in with a thin black Copic multi liner pen. I colored in the image with Copic markers and the white part of the hat with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen. To finish the card, I glued the panel onto a top folding A2 size notecard.

This card was a good start to my holiday collection! Over the next few months, I hope to keep adding to my collection and sharing my creations with you.
