Hello! A few weeks ago, I was watching crafting videos on YouTube, and I came across a video by Jennifer McGuire. She showed how to use tulle for a shaker card. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to try it out today for the latest Lawn Fawn Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

To make this card, I stamped images from Lawn Fawn’s Stinkin’ Cute stamp set. This stamp set is so cute, and it also has a very nice price point! I colored the images with Copic markers and cut them out. Next, I trimmed a piece of patterned cardstock to an A2 size and cut a window out of it with a square stitched die. Then, I stamped my sentiment on the top and bottom of the window. I cut the same square for my card base, making sure the window from the patterned card stock matched.
I put double-sided tape around each window and placed a piece of tulle over them. Next, I put various sequins on the tulle covered window of the card base. Then I carefully glued the patterned cardstock over the card base, making sure the windows were aligned correctly. To finish the card, I placed the skunk into the center of the window and glued the small flower between its hands.
This card was pretty simple to make! Jennifer McQuire had said that the sequins would move around very nicely without any added bulk and she was right! I was so impressed with this idea and hope you will give it a try the next time you make a shaker card.
Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
