Hello again! For today’s card, I used the latest My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge as my inspiration.

For this card, I used MFT’s Fab-boo-
To make the background for the card panel, I covered a section of the top and bottom with post-it tape. Then, I blended three colors of distress oxide ink over the untaped area. Once, everything looked well blended, I added white paint mixed with water to a small acrylic block and dipped a paintbrush into it. I carefully tapped the brush over the blended background so small drops of paint would fall onto it. Then, I set the card panel aside to dry.
Once the card panel was dry, I added patterned washi tape to the edges of the blended area. Then, I arranged all the images onto the card panel until I was happy with the placement and taped them down with 3M foam tape so they would have dimension.
Next, I glued the sentiment below the images. I decide to add a small bat to the top corner. To make it a bit more shiny and dark, I stamped it with versafine black onyx ink, covered it with clear embossing powder, and heat set it. I glued on some sequins and attached the card panel to a side folding notecard.
This card took me a while to plan out. I knew I wanted to have a blended background with distress oxide ink and what images I wanted to use. But, I wasn’t sure how I would go about placing my images to match the sketch. In the end, I think it worked out well, and I am happy with the card! Halloween cards are so much fun to make, especially when the images are as cute as these are!
Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
