Hello, my friends! When I first saw shaker cards, I knew I had to learn how to make them! With lots of trial and error, I learned the ins and outs of putting them together. Making these take a lot of patience but the end results are always worth it!
Today I thought I would share with you how to make an infinity shaker card. An infinity shaker card has no frame and the shaker elements are contained inside of a clear cover. These are very easy to make and are also less hard to mess up as the framed cards.
There are several ways to create the plastic lining the base of your card goes into. I had purchased a pack of clear cello bags from amazon when I was looking for a way to store and protect my finished cards. I have found these to be the perfect size and weight to place an A2 size card base into. Once you place your card in, fold over the excess material and tape it to the side of the card leaving the top open. Next, pour all your skaker elements into the front of the card base through the opening. Once you are happy with the amount, fold over the opening and tape it into place. Adhere this shaker panel onto a A2 sized piece of cardstock. To finsh the card, glue your finshed card panel onto a folded notecard.
For a slimline card, I have found the Avery Elle extra-large stamp pockets work the best. You do the same thing as you would with the cello bag. The only difference is that I cut off some of the extra material so that folding and taping becomes easier since these stamp pockets are slightly thicker than the clear cello bags.
