Hello, friends! Today I am sharing a fun card that features two Mama Elephant stamps sets, Stackable Friends and Stackable Cuties. These images are so adorable and the types of cards you can make with them are endless!
For this card, I decided to pick three farm animals to color with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. These are the colors I used:
- Pig: Pale Pink (28) and Flesh Color (71)
- Chick: Yellow (50) and Bright Yellow (52)
- Cow: Dary Grey (95)
- Cheeks: Pink Haze (201)
I wanted to place the images in a window of some sort so I decided to use a die from My Favorite Things. This die has stitching around each window and a stitched outline along the edge, which reminds me of clouds. I positioned the die on a 4.25×5.5″ piece of card stock and ran it through my die cutting machine. This created two pieces. The top piece with the stitching detail along the bottom and the bottom piece with three windows.
To create a cloud scene, I blended Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink on the top portion. Next, I took three small pieces of cardstock slightly bigger than the circle windows and blended the same color distress oxide on the bottom of them.
To assemble this card, I glued the top portion onto a piece of white card stock which was 4.25″x5.5″ and stamped the sentiment on it. Next, I took the window portion and held it to the bottom and positioned the three small pieces of cardstock underneath making sure the blended area was at the bottom of the circle. Once I was happy with the placement, I glued them in place. Then I put foam tape of the window piece and carefully placed it down in place next to the top piece. I added foam tape to the back of each image and adhered them within each window. I finished the card by adding some sequins.
This card was really fun to make! The hardest part was aligning the top and bottom pieces up but I made sure to work slowly and it worked out well! Hope you give it a try!
