Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share one of my most favorite types of cards to make, shaker cards! There is just something so fun about shaker cards! For this card, I decided to make it a slimline size.
To make this card, I stamped images from the Waffle Flower Winter Hamsters stamp set. I LOVE these hamsters. They are so adorable! I cut them out with my Brother Scan-N-Cut and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Frame dies, which contains three slimline stitched panels and one window panel, to create my card panel. I used one of the framed dies to cut out the basic slimline shape. Then, I placed the window die on top of the panel, making sure it was centered, and ran everything through my die cutting machine. I turned the piece around and added Scor-Tape around the window’s perimeter, and then added a piece of acetate. Next, I added foam tape around the edges and set the piece aside. I cut out another basic slimline shape, laid it under the window piece, and lightly marked each window opening. I blended Distress Oxide to each window, making sure to keep the top darker than the bottom. Then I added confetti and sequins to each window, peeled off the foam tape cover, and attached the background.
I stamped my sentiment onto a white card stock piece and cut it out with Lawn Fawn’s Everyday Sentiments Banner. I arranged all my pieces on the card panel, and once I was happy with the placement, I attached them to the card. I decided to add some snowflakes to the windows, so I cut some out and attached them with some glue to the acetate to finish my card.
I love this stamp set so much and plan on making some more cards and tags with it so stay tuned for some more ideas! Hope you give this type of card a try!
