I love making shaker cards, and one of my most favorite shapes to make is circles. For this card, I used two images from one of my favorite winter stamp sets of all time, Snow Buddies from Honey Bee Stamps! I have used this stamp set a lot, and this time, I decided to use the cute little bunnies on my card.
To start, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Circle Frame Dies to cut out several circle frames from white card stock. I kept one frame aside and glued the rest of the frame together to create a deeper frame. I used Waffle Flower’s Nesting Circles die (in the same diameter as my frame) to cut out circles from acetate and white card stock.
I blended distress ink over the white circle to create the background. Next, I used strong double-sided tape to attach the acetate to the frame piece I had kept aside. I dusted some anti-static powder over the entire piece of acetate and stamped my sentiment onto the center with versamark ink. I covered it with white embossing powder and set it with a heat tool.
I attached the deeper frame, filled it with confetti, snowflakes cut out with a snowflake die, and sequins. I added glue around the frame and attached the blended circle to seal everything up. To create the card base, I used the circle frame and cut out a circle with heavyweight card stock, and scored a line about 1/4 inches from the top of the edge. I folded this over, added glue, and attached this to my card panel. To finish my card, I added my images, which I colored with Copic markers, onto the card along with some more snowflakes.
