Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a super easy clean and simple holiday card I made using the cute penguin from Lawn Fawn’s Winter Penguin stamp set.
To make this card, I cut out a rectangle, which was 4.25″ x 5.5″ from Lawn Fawn’s Let it Shine Petite Paper Pack. This paper pack is filled with gorgeous paper with stripes and dots, and some of the sheets have gold foil dots. The colors are very versatile and perfect for Christmas and holiday cards.
I wanted to create a one layer card with this image, so I cut out another rectangle from white cardstock, which was 3.5″ x 4.75″. This allowed me to have a 3/8″ border once I laid it on top of the striped background. I positioned and stamped my images and sentiment (Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy) onto the top portion of the white cardstock. Next, I colored the penguin using Copic markers. I used C7, C5, C3, YR15, and YR16 for the penguin and R59, R29, R27, and R24 for the skates and scarf. I used a white gel pen to create a polka dot pattern on the scarf and used C-0 and C-00 for underneath the penguin to mimic ice. Once I was done coloring, I attached the white piece onto the striped piece with foam tape. To finish the card, I attached the panel to an A2 size card base.
As you can see this card was super simple to make using very minimal amount of supplies! Hope you give it a try!
