Hello! All the nice sunny weather and flowers blooming got me in the mood to make some spring-themed tags. I thought Bee Friends from Pretty Pink Posh would be perfect for this project! It is one of Pretty Pink Posh’s smaller stamp sets, and it has the cutest bees and flowers. I pulled it out and stamped a whole bunch of bees and flowers on some Neenah Solar White card stock and started coloring with the following Copic markers:
flowers: R21, R23, R25, YOO, BV00, BV02, BV04
stems: YG61, YG63, YG67
bees: Y11, Y13, Y25, B000, C-7, 100, and Copic fine liner
Once I was done coloring, I cut out one large tag and one small tag from the Scallop Square die set. I also cut out several pieces using the Hugs dies. This particular die cuts out a scalloped shaker circle with the word Hugs in the center. I wanted to use the sentiment only, and since it is attached, I carefully removed it from the scalloped circle. I glued all the words together so I would have a sentiment that had some dimension. Next, I blended some distress ink in Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn over both of them.
I finished the tags by arranging all my images where I wanted them. Once I knew where I would be placing the bees, I stamped the dotted lines carefully in the right place. I glued everything down, and for some of the images, I used foam tape to add a bit of dimension to the tag. Finally, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Starry Sky jewels for extra sparkle!
I was so happy with the way these tags turned out! Hope you give a project like this a try! – Mona
