Birthday Shaker Tag

Hello again! I was going through my stamp collection the other day looking for some inspiration for a birthday gift tag I wanted to make and came across the Spring Blossoms stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps. I love all the beautiful florals in this stamp set and thought they would be perfect for my project!

To start, I stamped the florals onto Bristol Smooth paper and colored them with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens: Carmine Red (22), Light Carmine (21), Pink Haze (201), Pink Flamingo (222), Pale Green (45), Light Green (41), and Yellow (50). Once I was done coloring, I cut out the images and started working on the tag and sentiment.

I knew I wanted to make a slightly larger size gift tag to put on a larger gift, so I reached for the Essential Tag dies from Pink Fresh Studio. I love this die set for its versatility! It has a large and small gift tag die along with windows you can use on the larger die to create different looks. I wanted to make a shaker gift tag, so I used one of the windows with three hormonal stripes. I arranged it onto the center of the large tag die and ran it through my die-cutting machine. Then, I attached acetate to the back and foam tape around the perimeter of the tag before filling it with sequins. I cut out another tag from light pink card stock and attached it to seal the tag.

Next, I cut out the sentiment “wishes” from Pink Fresh Studio Phrase Builder Sending dies several times and glued them together so the word would have some dimension. I used a handmade sentiment I created in Microsoft Word to place on top of the die-cut sentiment. Finally, I glued everything in place once I was happy with the arrangement and added pink ribbon to finish the tag.

I hope this project gave you some inspiration and ideas for a floral birthday gift tag! Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
