Hi friends! I am thrilled to announce that I am now part of the Rachelle Anne Miller design team! I have been a huge fan of her illustrations ever since I discovered her, and I hope my projects help to inspire you to try printing out and coloring her digital stamps. For this card, I used Friendship Mouse. I adore this sweet image!
I wanted to make a clean and simple stitched circle card using the second largest die from My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. So, I drew a circle in Adobe Photoshop of the same size as the die to get an idea of how big I wanted my image to be. Once I was happy with the size of my image, I fed some white cardstock through my laser printer and printed it out. I centered the stitched die over the image and ran it through my die-cutting machine.
In addition to printing the image on white cardstock, I also printed the image onto some masking paper. I carefully fussy cut it out and added it over the image. Next, I used Distress Oxide in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron over Lawn Fawn’s Hillside stencil to create a hill. I used the same stencil to cover the hill. Then, I placed Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy stencil over the top of the card panel and blended Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina over it to create a cloud background. I removed the mask and colored the image with the following Copic markers:
Flower: Y15, Y13, Y11 (yellow); RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 (pink); YG03, YG01 (green)
Mouse: W3, W1, W0, W00, R20, R00
Snail: YG03, YG01, E44, E42, E40
Puddle: BG01, BG000, BG0000
Ladybug: R27, R24, R22, W7, W5, W3
I stamped the sentiment (Avery Elle Beary Good Friends) along the bottom of the card panel with versamark ink, sprinkled white embossing powder, and heat set it. I used my scan n cut to create a larger circle than the stitched circle. Then, I glued my stitched circle on top of it to finish the card.
I hope I inspired you to try printing and coloring digital stamps. Rachelle Anne Miller has so many beautiful digital stamps in her shop. I am looking forward to sharing my inspiration using her digital stamps with you! – Mona
