Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my second project for this month for Streamside Studios. I used the Dragon Flying By To Say Hi stamp set to create this circle shaker card.
Printing and coloring
I sized, printed, and colored the image using the following Copic and Ohuhu markers:
RV55, RV52 (Copic); PB10, BG68, BG4 (Ohuhu).
Creating the shaker card
I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Circle Frame die to cut out a circle frame from white card stock. I blended Salvaged Patina distress oxide over it and glued a piece of acetate onto the back. Next, I used the same die to cut two more frames from white foam. Then, I glued them together and added them to the back of the colored frame. I used Waffle Flower’s Nesting Circles die to cut out a circle the same size as the frame and used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink over Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy stencil to create a cloud background over it. I flipped around the framed, filled it will sequins, seed beads, and confetti, and sealed it with the background piece.
Finishing the card
I knew I wanted the bottom of my shaker to be a cloud, so I printed the sentiment onto white card stock, positioned the stitched circle die over the sentiment, and cut it out. Then, I positioned Lawn Fawn’s Puffy Cloud Borders die to create a cloud border on top of this circle cutout. Finally, I glued the cloud border and dragon onto the acetate and adhered the panel to a circle card base to finish the card.
I had so much fun making this card! I hope I inspired you to create something similar! Check out this project I posted on Instagram back in March for more inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
