Holly Jolly Christmas

Isabel Christina Holly Jolly Christmas circle card

Hi friends! Today I am sharing a circle-shaped Christmas card featuring images from Isabel Christina Stamps Holly Jolly Christmas. This stamp set is perfect for Christmas cards! I used the two images on the bottom left to make my card.

Printing and Coloring

I sized and printed the image onto white card stock, cut them out, and colored them with Copic markers. Here are the colors I used:

Bunny (left): E42, E41, E40
Bunny (right): W1, W0, W00
Hat/Bag: RV25, RV23, RV21
Scarf/Gift: BG05, BG02, BG01

Die Cutting & Ink Blending

I lined up the third largest die from My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics over my image and ran everything through my die-cutting machine. I blended Distress Oxide in Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio over it to create a sky background. Then, I added some of the ink onto my glass craft mat and added water. Then, I picked the color up with a paintbrush and spattered it over the top. I also did the same with white acrylic paint to create the look of snow. Next, I cut out a hill using a die from Mama Elephant Slimline Card Basics Creative Cuts. I then placed my stitched circle die over it so the bottom and sides would have the same stitching detail.

Finishing Card

I stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Friends stamp set with versafine ink on the hill. Then, I sprinkled silver embossing powder over it and heat set it with my heat tool. I glued the hill to the bottom of the stitched card panel. Then, I glued the images onto the hill. Next, I used the largest die from the Waffle Flower Nesting Circles dies to cut out a circle from white card stock. I turned the stitched card panel around, added adhesive to the back, and adhered it to the larger circle. Finally, I added the card panel to a matching card base to finish the card.

I love how the background for this card turned out! I hope I inspired you to get a head start on your holiday cards! These are a set of holiday tags I made using another stamp set from this month’s release. Thanks so much for stopping by! – Mona
