Rachelle Anne Miller Tea Party

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a card using Rachelle Anne Miller‘s Tea Party stamp set. This image is so sweet and beautiful!

Printing and Creating Background

I sized and printed the image out using my laser printer onto white card stock. I also printed it out onto some masking paper. Next, I fussy cut the image from the masking paper and put it on top of the image I printed on white card stock. Then, I centered My Favorite Things Watercolor Wash Rectangle stencil over the image and taped it onto the cardstock so it wouldn’t move. Next, I positioned Lawn Fawn’s Hillside stencil over the rectangle stencil and blended distress oxide in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron over the cardstock to create a hill. Then, I taped the same hillside stencil over the hill to cover it up. I took Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy stencil, positioned it on top of the hill, and blended distress oxide in Salty Ocean over the edge to create a cloud background. I repeated this until I was at the top.

Coloring Image

I removed all the stencils and carefully peeled off the mask so I could start coloring the image with the following Copic marker:

Skin/Cheeks: E53, E51, E50, R20, R00
Hair: E25, E23, E21
Blanket: B0000, B000
Stuffed animals: E43, E42, E1, E40, R20, R00
Purple: V000, V01
Pink: RV00. RV10, RV11, RV13
Yellow: V13, V11, V00

Finishing Card

I positioned the largest of the Waffle Flower Rectangle A2 Layers die over the image and background and ran it through my die-cutting machine to create the card panel. Then, I stamped a sentiment from Avery Elle Beary Good Friends with versamark ink over black card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder over the sentiment, heat set it, and cut it into a strip. Then I used foam tape to position the sentiment at the bottom of the image and glued the card panel onto a top folding card base.

This card took some time to make due to the masking and ink blending, but I really love the way it turned ou!. I also really enjoyed coloring this sweet image!

Thanks so much for stopping by! – Mona
